The 381 vacuum base PanaVise is a portable two-piece work-holding tool suitable for hobby, electronics and small home repairs, that consists of the PanaVise 380 vacuum base and the 303 standard vise head. The PanaVise 381 work-holding tool utilizes PanaVise “split-ball” adjustment functionality at the point of 380 vacuum base and the included 303 standard head. Once an item is secured in the vise head, the split-ball system built into the top portion of the base allows a user to maneuver the item along three separate planes using a single knob to make the adjustments. The mobility range of the model 381’s split-ball system is a 90-degree tilt to the side, along with either an angled rotation, or level turn range of 360 degrees. This range of mobility allows a user to rearrange work items into any position, which limits the need to adjust the overall position of the vise or the item within the vise.

Portable Clamp-free Holding Power

The PanaVise vacuum base is a work-holding tool component that utilizes a rubber pad integrated into its bottom edge to stick to smooth, non-porous surfaces. Combined with a compatible PanaVise 300 vise head, or any 5/8″ (15.9 mm) diameter shaft accessory (sold separately), this creates a portable vise suitable for use in small-to-medium-sized jobs. Vacuum action is created as a turn of the base’s flip handle lifts the middle portion of its smooth rubber pad away from a consistent seal against a smooth, clean surface. The vacuum is released with a reverse flip of the same lever. The base and any attached vise head or other head accessories are sufficiently immobilized at the remaining contact points along the base’s edge. This holding power means that the base does not require traditional bench clamps or weighted accessories, which in turn means that the weight of the base can be kept at a portable 1.7 lbs. (0.8 kg). Add Portable Stability with a Weight Base Mount

The PanaVise 308 weighted base mount is work-holding tool accessory that is designed to attach to various PanaVise vises and bases, and provides stability without the need for clamps or permanent surface attachment. The overall footprint of the 308 weighted base mount is 6-7/8″ deep x 7-1/2″ wide (174.6 mm x 190.5 mm). Its height is 1-3/16″ (30.2 mm) tall, weighs 5 lbs. (2.3 kg) and it is constructed out of solid cast iron. It distributes weight through its two-wing arm shape, which adds stability. Surfaces are protected by four non-marring, anti-skid pads that attach to bottom surface contact points.

Base Compatibility
