No ducting is needed to install. PTAC Heat pump units provide energy-efficient heating and cooling using reverse cycle technology. The electric heat strip is used as supplemental heat only a few days out the year when the temperature drops too low for the heat pump to provide energy-efficient heating. Klimaire PTAC units are installed on an interior wall with the back of the unit vented to the exterior with a separate outdoor and indoor motor configuration that assures lower noise level. Our Klimaire PTHP PTAC units are built to fit into a standard existing 42” x 16” slide wall sleeve to replace other major brands.
