My E530C was ordered with Windows 7 and as soon as I opened the box, I saw recovery discs for Windows 8. I almost sent it back on the spot but I hadn't even opened the PC yet so I fired it up and it did come with W7 but it had a "Tech" icon and it needed a password that I didn't have. I suspect this new machine may be a refurb. Anyway, I called the tech support number and was pleasantly surprised to get an American human in Georgia from IBM who offered to take the machine back or else she would ship me W7 recovery discs. I opted for the discs, which arrived 2 days later. The installation took 4 hours, but appears to have worked so I'm still playing with the PC to ensure I can load and use all my software. My daughter has an older Lenovo laptop that is just excellent - build quality and performance (don't know what model) - but my E530 just feels cheap. I did buy a lower price machine but so far, I'm not impressed.

This product is absolut rubbish. The laptop randomly crashes when I play videos of any kind. Until now I contacted the customer service about 23 times, I had to send in the laptop three times! and each time they said they had the final solution. They never had. It is a real pain when you need the laptop for work and have sensitive material on it but all they do is saying they will exchange something new. It cost me several hours each time to clear my laptop and to put everything back on.
Now the guarantee expired with all the sending back and forth and they refuse to help me any further without paying.

THIS IS TOTAL RIPOFF!!!Never buy this product!

Protect your Lenovo laptop with this professional backpack with top handle

A stealth interpretation of what a capable backpack is. It is organized and reflective of each user's lifestyle given its seam less ability to transition end uses. It was essential to create a backpack that could fit a variety of laptop dimensions up to 15.6", all the while giving it ultimate protection and comfort for the user.
The Novo was created using two of Lencca's prime materials. Both materials are weather resistant and have long-lasting properties; actively repelling liquids without absorbing a single drop. Our textured Eco-leather was selected for its sensory experience. With nearly a hundred sewing operations per bag, the Novo was designed to be a presentable combination of sleek styling, durability, and performance. It features two-tone boldness inside and out, and crafted with metal hardware and signature Lencca zipper pulls.
The front panel has an attached flap zippered pocket which can be filled to a maximum capacity without the restraints of a traditional patch pocket. Below this are two patch pockets with large box pleats to help extend and make room for items. The flaps atop these two front pockets have seam less built in m agnetic closures.
The interior has six compartments to sort and store multiple items.
The backside of the Novo has a padded fold out laptop compartment. This compartment is flush against the rest of the design of the backpack and covert. Unzipping the top of this compartment allows access to pull out the laptop, but unzipping the entire zipper, allows the entire compartment to lay flat above a surface. Check point friendly.
The laptop compartment was designed to fit most 15.6" laptops. However, the positioning of the compartment cradles even the smallest laptops securely and comfortable as well. The dimensions for this compartment are slightly flexible, averaging: 15"in height x 2" in depth x 11.5" in width.
